“Once you are involved in the process of Becoming, there is no stopping. You’re doomed! You’re gone! But what a fantastic journey!”

– Leo Buscaglia

So what is Poetic Becoming? And why this name?

Let’s begin with the second word: Becoming.
At the heart of this brand lies the philosophy of becoming—life as an ever-unfolding process of transformation. As Michael Meade says, “The purpose of a soul in human form is to transform.”

This transformation is rarely linear. It moves like a pendulum between clarity and confusion, faith and doubt, chaos and order. Each person’s path is unique. There are many ways up the mountain of transformation, each more or less appealing depending on temperament, timing, and circumstance. Yet in their own way, all lead upward.

The soul of this work is to continually explore, understand, honor, and celebrate the process itself—without rigid destinations. The intention here is not to prescribe a way forward, but to offer companionship. Think of it as a lantern in a dark forest—illuminating just enough of the way so you can take the next step.

“True Transformation needs three things: An ability to see the truth, a capacity to digest it and a touch of grace”

Another core philosophy of this brand is truth—facing it, however uncomfortable. For it is in seeing and accepting the truth that we find compassion, love, and wisdom—towards ourselves, others, and the world. Yet truth can sometimes feel harsh, even wounding.

That is where the poetic comes in. Poetry is, to me, a vessel for truth. If a soul is hungry for awakening, and the truth is like hot soup, then poetry becomes the bowl and the spoon—carrying the nourishment of truth without wounding the heart.

So in this manner, poetry within Poetic Becoming is an ongoing exploration of – and experimentation with truth. Some poems may poke or provoke, but in that very friction lies fertile ground for transformation. Poetry offers truth touched with beauty, gentleness, and fire, ready to meet each soul, wherever it is on its journey.
